By accessing or using the Canada Tech School website, submitting an application, enrolling in a program, or otherwise interacting with our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, which are incorporated herein by reference.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Eligibility
To use our services and enroll in our programs, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age or have parental/guardian consent
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration
- Not be prohibited from receiving educational services under applicable law
- Meet the prerequisite requirements for your chosen program
3. Account Registration and Security
When you create an account with Canada Tech School, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are inactive for extended periods.
4. Educational Services
4.1 Program Enrollment
Enrollment in Canada Tech School programs is subject to:
- Submission of a complete application
- Meeting program prerequisites and admission requirements
- Acceptance by our admissions committee
- Payment of required fees and tuition
- Signing of the enrollment agreement
4.2 Program Delivery
Canada Tech School delivers educational programs through various methods including in-person instruction, live online classes, pre-recorded content, and project-based learning. We reserve the right to:
- Modify curriculum content to reflect industry changes
- Change instructors as necessary
- Adjust delivery schedules with reasonable notice
- Transition between in-person and online formats when required
4.3 Academic Policies
Students are expected to:
- Maintain a minimum attendance rate of 80%
- Complete all assignments and projects by their due dates
- Participate actively in group projects and discussions
- Uphold academic integrity and avoid plagiarism
- Treat instructors and fellow students with respect
5. Payment Terms
5.1 Tuition and Fees
All tuition and fees must be paid according to the payment schedule outlined in your enrollment agreement. We accept payment via:
- Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- Bank transfer
- Approved financing plans
- Income Share Agreements (for eligible programs)
5.2 Late Payments
Late payments may result in:
- Late fees of $50 CAD per week
- Suspension of access to course materials
- Withholding of certificates and transcripts
- Referral to collections agencies
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Content
All content provided through Canada Tech School, including but not limited to course materials, videos, slides, code examples, assessments, and written content, is the exclusive property of Canada Tech School or our licensors. This content is protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
6.2 Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use course materials for your personal educational purposes only. You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute course materials
- Share login credentials or provide access to others
- Record or capture live instruction sessions
- Use materials for commercial purposes
- Modify or create derivative works from our content
6.3 Your Content
Any content you submit or create during your studies, including projects, assignments, and code, remains your intellectual property. However, you grant Canada Tech School a non-exclusive license to use your work for educational and promotional purposes.
7. Code of Conduct
Students and website users must adhere to our code of conduct, which prohibits:
- Harassment, discrimination, or bullying of any kind
- Cheating, plagiarism, or academic dishonesty
- Sharing or distributing copyrighted materials
- Using our services for illegal purposes
- Disrupting classes or interfering with other students' learning
- Misrepresenting your identity or credentials
- Unauthorized access to our systems or data
Violations may result in disciplinary action, including dismissal from the program without refund.
8. Career Services and Job Guarantee
Canada Tech School offers career services to eligible graduates, including:
- Resume and portfolio review
- Mock interviews and coaching
- Introduction to hiring partners
- Job placement assistance
Our Job Guarantee is subject to specific terms and conditions outlined in your enrollment agreement. We do not guarantee specific employment outcomes, salaries, or job placements.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Canada Tech School provides educational services "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes or employment results
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant program
- We are not responsible for technical issues outside our control
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Canada Tech School, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your use of our services
- Your infringement of any third-party rights
- Any content you submit or create
11. Dispute Resolution
11.1 Informal Resolution
Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to first contact us to attempt to resolve any dispute informally. Most concerns can be addressed through our student services team.
11.2 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
11.3 Jurisdiction
Any legal proceedings arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be brought exclusively in the courts of the Province of Ontario, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.
12. Termination
Canada Tech School reserves the right to terminate your enrollment or access to our services at any time for violation of these Terms or other policies. Upon termination:
- Your access to course materials will be revoked
- You must return any physical materials in your possession
- Outstanding payments remain due
- Refunds will be processed according to our Refund Policy
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and any enrollment agreement you sign, constitute the entire agreement between you and Canada Tech School regarding your use of our services. Any prior agreements, understandings, or representations are superseded by these Terms.
